Ingredients

  • 1 cup Rice, long grain, white (rinsed)
  • 3 cups Water
  • Salt & Pepper
  • 1/2 cup Vermicelli - optional
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil

Preparation

In a pot

  • Heat the oil and brown the vermicelli.
  • Add the rice and spices.
  • Add the water.

Let boil.

  • lower the heat and cook for 20 mins or until all water has evaporated.

Let the pilaf rest for 10 mins.

Fluff the pilaf with a fork before serving.
